2003 Weekenders I've been on a few trips in which I forgot to bring the camera, so you'll have to take my word for it. Here are some photogenic ones which made it:
Glenaire Notice that the river's blocked up again. Look carefully to see our fire on the beach. The campsite is about 1.5km from the beach, and the only way to get to the beach is to take the boat. We took an esky, firewood, food and fishing gear on the canoe and stayed there under a full moon until about 11 at night. Beautiful spot. Caught one Bream. Snorkelling / Fishing with Sharpy at St. Lenards. The photography should demonstrate how lucky we were with the fish off the pier. A good snorkelling effort the next day, 2 one-hour sessions helped clear up the hangover. Sharpy came close to spearing a gummy, but other than that just looking at the scenery. Then to the beach for a body surf for an hour or so before I slept most the way back to the Rat. (ta mate) Wilson's Prom Bloody nice spot. Took a 3 day hike to sealer's cove, refuge cove, waterloo beach then short cut back to the car. I'll go for a week next summer if anyone is interested, with snorkelling gear. Did some fishing on the beautiful eastern bays, no luck though. |
